Maailma-kuoro is a vibrant international female choir established in Helsinki in 2010. The choir performs a cappella renditions of ethnic and traditional songs from all over the world – from Africa to Asia and Europe.
The ever-evolving and increasingly ambitious repertoire includes several arrangements made exclusively for the choir, uniting various musical traditions with the unique fresh style of the choir in an interesting way. In addition to musical activities, the choir strives to act as a meaningful social environment for its members and to promote appreciation for different cultures and diversity through its concerts and performances.
